Photos of Attempt Bank Robbery Suspect Released

Detectives from the Major Crimes Division continue to investigate an attempted bank robbery that occurred on December 29 in Burtonsville. Today, detectives are releasing photographs of the suspect and are asking for the public’s help to identify him.

On December 29 at approximately 11:33 a.m., 3rd District officers responded to the Suntrust bank located at 3901 National Drive in Burtonsville for the report of a bank robbery that had just occurred.

Investigators have determined that the suspect entered the bank, approached a teller and passed a note demanding money. The suspect did not obtain any money and fled from the bank.

At the time of the robbery, the suspect was wearing a green or teal hat, dark Nike sweatshirt, and a black and white scarf. The suspect also had a bandage covering his nose.
