Detectives Seek Public’s Help to Identify Armed Robbery Suspects

Update:  Detectives initially believed that two suspects were involved in this robbery.  The second suspect came forward and spoke with detectives and was determined to not be involved in this robbery.

Detectives from the Montgomery County Police Department - 5th District Investigative Section are asking for the public’s help to identify two suspects involved in an armed robbery that occurred in the parking lot of the Shoppers grocery store located at 18066 Mateny Road in Germantown.

On January 3 at approximately 8:10 p.m., the adult male victim was robbed by two males in the parking lot of the Shoppers store. One of the suspects displayed a weapon. The suspects stole money from the victim and fled the area in a black colored vehicle (possibly a SUV).

Detectives are releasing surveillance photographs of the two suspects. Anyone with information regarding these suspects or the robbery is asked to call the 5th District Investigative Section at 240-773-6246. Crime Solvers will pay a cash reward of up to $10,000 for information provided to them that leads to an arrest and/or indictment for this felony crime.
