Concern for Missing Silver Spring Woman

Update, January 13, 2016 at 10:42 a.m. - Evelyn Wang has been located and is safe and unharmed. Thank you to everyone who shared this missing person case.

Detectives from the 4th District are asking for the public’s help to locate a missing Silver Spring woman.

Evelyn New Wang, age 41, of the 2300 block of Massanutten Drive in the Longmead area of Silver Spring, left a family member's home in Olney on January 10 at approximately 2:00 p.m.  At that time, Evelyn Wang stated to family that she was going to drive to the Olney Library (located at 3500 Olney Laytonsville Road) and would return to the family member's home in Olney that evening.  Evelyn Wang did not return to the family member's home that night and has not returned to her own residence.  She has not been in contact with friends or family since January 10. Evelyn Wang was last seen driving a 2007, blue Honda Fit with Maryland tags: 8BG9298.

Evelyn Wang is described as an Asian female, approximately 5’02” tall, and 125 pounds.  She has black hair and brown eyes.  She was last seen wearing a black jacket and black pants, and was also wearing eyeglasses.

Police and family are concerned for Evelyn Wang's physical and emotional welfare.
