Police Seek Public’s Help to Identify Commercial Robbery Suspect

Detectives from the Montgomery County Police - Major Crimes Division are asking for the public’s help to identify a suspect who committed a commercial robbery at the Rite Aid Pharmacy located in the Randolph Crossing shopping center. Today, detectives are releasing surveillance photographs of the suspect.

On January 17 at approximately 1:07 p.m., 4th District officers responded to the Rite Aid Pharmacy located at 12222 Viers Mill Road for the report of a robbery. The investigation revealed that the black male suspect attempted to return condoms and cold medicine at the cash register and argued with an employee over the return. During the argument, the suspect demanded cash and told the employee to open the cash register. The employee refused the suspect’s demands. The suspect then walked around the counter and removed property before fleeing from the store.

Anyone with information about this suspect or the robbery is asked to call the Montgomery County Police – Major Crimes Division at 240-773-5100.
