Detectives Investigate Suspicious Death of Man in Briggs Chaney Area

Detectives from Montgomery County Police Department – Major Crimes Division are investigating a suspicious death in the Briggs Chaney area.

On March 11 at approximately 11:56 p.m., 3rd District officers and Fire and Rescue personnel responded to a paved trail in the 13800 block of Castle Boulevard for the report of a deceased person. A passerby had observed the deceased adult male victim outside on a trail.  The passerby contacted a private security guard who was working in the area, who then called 9-1-1. First responders were directed to the victim who had trauma to his upper body.

This is an active and ongoing death investigation. An autopsy will be completed by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Baltimore. More details will be released as they become available.
