Media Advisory: MCP Cadet Firearms Simulator Training

What:  MCP Cadets will participate in firearms training using the Department’s shoot/don’t shoot firearms training simulator.  Cadets will also be learning about processing crime scenes for DNA evidence.  Reporters will be able to speak with Cadets during this training.

When:  Tuesday, June 14, from 11:00 a.m. – Noon.

The Montgomery County Police Department, in partnership with Montgomery College, is conducting a Police Cadet Academy that began on May 23.  The purpose of the Cadet Program is to provide qualified individuals who are interested in becoming police officers with the Montgomery County Police Department, first-hand experiences in law enforcement.  Police Cadets participate in a six- week, volunteer Cadet Academy at the Montgomery County Public Safety Training Academy in Rockville.
