Police Ask for Public’s Assistance in Locating Missing 9 and 10 Year-Old Brothers

UPDATE: 8/19/2016: 7:28 p.m. - The Smalls brothers have been located safe and unharmed.  Thank you to the media and public for sharing this case.

Detectives from the Montgomery County Police Department - Special Victims Investigations Division are asking for the public’s assistance in locating two missing juvenile brothers from Rockville.

Durrell Smalls, age 10 and his brother Dior Smalls, age 9, of the 300 block of Dawson Avenue were last seen in their bedroom at approximately 8:30 a.m. this morning when their parents checked on them.  The parents checked on the brothers again at approximately 10:30 a.m. and discovered them missing.  The parents searched the surrounding neighborhood for the brothers and reported the boys missing to police.  No foul play is suspected at this time.

Durrell Smalls is described as a biracial male, approximately 4’5” tall, and weighing 55 pounds.  He has dark brown hair and brown eyes.  Durrell Smalls was last seen wearing a red shirt with a black or gray collar and a picture of a truck on the front of the shirt.  He was also wearing red fleece pajama pants and black Adidas tennis shoes with blue stripes on them.

Dior Smalls is described as a biracial male, approximately 4’6” tall, and weighing 55 pounds.  He has blonde hair and hazel eyes.  Dior Smalls was last seen wearing a white under shirt, black shorts, and black Nike tennis shoes.

Police and family are concerned for Durrell and Dior Smalls’ welfare due to their age.

Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Durrell and/or Dior Smalls is asked to contact 9-1-1.
