Concern For Rockville Man, Silver Alert Issued

UPDATE: Robert Shanklin was located by police in his vehicle.  He is safe and unharmed.

Detectives from the Montgomery County Police Department - 2nd District Investigative Section are asking for the public’s help to locate a missing Rockville man who has exhibited signs of dementia.

Robert Shanklin, 71 years old, left his Windermere Circle residence on Saturday, August 20 at approximately 8:30 p.m.  He was driving a white, 2008, Subaru Forester with Florida tags, K506HA.

Robert Shanklin is described as a white male who is 5' 6" tall and weighs 130 pounds.  He has dark hair that is graying and brown eyes.  At the time he left his house, Robert Shanklin was wearing a sweatshirt described as gray, red, and blue.  He is also wearing blue sweatpants.

The Maryland State Police issued a Silver Alert for Mr. Shanklin.  Police and family are concerned for his emotional welfare and physical well being.  Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Robert Shanklin or the white Subaru should call 9-1-1.
