Concern For Missing Colesville Man

UPDATE: Victor Saavedra has been located.  He is safe and unharmed.

Detectives from the Montgomery County Police 3rd District Investigative Section are asking for the public’s help to locate a missing Colesville area man.

Victor Emanuel Rivas Saavedra, age 79, was last seen boarding a bus near his Sherwood Forest Drive residence at approximately 10:30 p.m. on Sunday, August 21.

Victor Saavedra is described as a Hispanic male, 5’ 4” tall and weighing approximately 160 pounds.  He has white or gray hair and brown eyes.  At the time of his disappearance he was wearing a suit.  He is familiar with public transportation.

Police and family members are concerned for his emotional and physical welfare.

Anyone with information in reference to the whereabouts of Victor Saavedra is asked to call the Montgomery County Police non-emergency number at 301-279-8000 (available 24 hours). Callers may remain anonymous.
