Detectives from the Montgomery County Police – Major Crimes Division continue to investigate a bank robbery that occurred yesterday at a SunTrust Bank in the Kemp Mill area of Wheaton.
On Tuesday, September 6 at approximately 9:34 a.m., 4
th District officers responded to the SunTrust Bank located at 1371 Lamberton Drive for a report of a bank robbery. The investigation revealed that the suspect entered the bank, approached a teller, and passed a note that demanded money. The suspect obtained an undisclosed amount of cash and fled from the bank.
Detectives have released photographs of the bank robbery suspect and are asking for the public’s help in identifying him.
Anyone with information about the suspect or the bank robbery is asked to contact the Montgomery County Police Department – Major Crimes Division at 240-773-5070. Crime Solvers will pay a cash reward of up to $10,000 for information provided to them that leads to the arrest and/or indictment of this suspect. Tipsters will remain anonymous.
