Detectives Investigate Indecent Exposure on Ride On Bus in Rockville Area; Surveillance Video Released

For Immediate Release: Wednesday, September 7, 2016

Detectives from the Montgomery County Police Department – 6th District Investigative Section continue to investigate an indecent exposure that occurred on a Ride On bus in the Shady Grove area of Rockville.  Today, investigators are releasing a target="_blank">surveillance video of the suspect and are asking for the public’s help in identifying him.

On Wednesday, August 31 at approximately 1:00 p.m., 6th District officers responded to Piccard Drive and Gaither Road in Rockville for the report of an indecent exposure that had just occurred.   The adult female victim told officers that as she was traveling on a Ride On bus, the adult male suspect, who was seated near her, grabbed his groin area over his clothing and then exposed himself to her.  The victim reported the indecent exposure to the bus driver and the bus driver made an unplanned stop at Redland Road and Piccard Drive so that the victim could call police and officers could respond.  The victim reported to officers that both she and the suspect exited the bus after it stopped and that the suspect was last seen on foot in the area of Redland Road and Piccard Drive.

Anyone who recognizes the suspect or who has information about this incident is asked to contact the 6th District Investigative Section at 240-773-5770.  For those who wish to remain anonymous, Crime Solvers of Montgomery County is offering a reward of up to $10,000 for any information that leads to the arrest of the suspect.
