Concern for Missing Germantown Man, Silver Alert Issued

Update: September 8, 2016 at 8:00 p.m. - Sherwood Simon Boxer has been located in Baltimore and will be reunited with family.  

Detectives from the Montgomery County Police Department – 5th District Investigative Section are asking for the public’s help to locate a missing Germantown man.  A Silver Alert has been issued for Sherwood Simon Boxer, 65 years old, of Black Saddle Lane in Germantown.

Sherwood Boxer left his Black Saddle Lane residence to run errands on Wednesday, September 7 at approximately 12:00 p.m.  He was driving a maroon, 2002 Honda Odyssey with Maryland tag ACS-53M.

Sherwood Simon Boxer is described as a white male who is 5’10” tall and weighs 230 pounds.  He has blue eyes and is balding with graying hair on the sides and back of his head.  He wears glasses and has a thick grey and brown colored beard.  He has difficulty hearing.  At the time he left his house, Sherwood Simon Boxer was wearing a navy blue t-shirt with the words “life is good” written on the front, blue jeans, and brown flip-flops.

Police and family are concerned for Mr. Boxer’s physical well-being as he is without his medication.

Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Sherwood Simon Boxer or the maroon Honda Odyssey is asked to call 9-1-1.
