Update: October 14, 2016 at 9:00 a.m. - Richard Edwards Miller has been located safe and unharmed in Prince George's County.
Detectives from the 5th District are asking for the public's assistance in locating a missing Germantown man who has been diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease.
Richard Edwards Miller is missing from his residence in the 11400 block of Ledbury Way in Germantown. He was last seen there at approximately 7:50 p.m. this evening. He left driving a silver, 2005, 4-door Toyota Corolla bearing Maryland tags MZV422.
Richard Miller is described as a 70-year-old African-American male. He is 5', 9" tall and weighs 185 pounds. He has gray hair and wears glasses with brown frames. At the time of his disappearance he was wearing a purple t-shirt, blue jeans, and black boots. He may also be wearing a tan jacket with a penguin and the lettering "South America" on it.
He may be driving to the following locations:
1.) The 500 block of Wilson Bridge Drive in Oxon Hill, Maryland.
2.) The Washington, D.C. VA Medical Center, 50 Irving Street NW.
Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Richard Miller or the location of the silver, 2005 Toyota Corolla is urged to dial 9-1-1.
