Tip-A-Cop this Saturday to Benefit Special Olympics Maryland

For Immediate Release: Tuesday, October 18, 2016

WHAT: As part of the national Tip-A-Cop event, officers volunteer their time to collect tips and help serve Red Robin restaurant guests to raise funds for Special Olympics Maryland (SOMD). During this event, 100 percent of the tips collected by law enforcement go to SOMD.

Events like “Tip-A-Cop” help the Special Olympics provide physical fitness and healthcare education programs at no cost to Special Olympic athletes and their families.

WHEN: This Saturday, October 22

TIME: 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.

WHERE: The Red Robin restaurant located at 20001 Century Boulevard in Germantown

WHO: The following agencies will have officers represented:

  • Montgomery County Police Department
  • Chevy Chase Village Police Department
  • Maryland-National Capital Park Police – Montgomery County Division
  • Rockville City Police Department
  • Montgomery County Police Explorer Post 1986
Residents are invited to come out and eat a great meal while supporting a great cause!
