Detectives from the Montgomery County Police Department – Major Crimes Division continue to investigate the October 2 robbery of a 7-Eleven convenience store located at 19235 Watkins Mill Road in Montgomery Village. Today, investigators are releasing target="_blank">surveillance video of the suspect and are asking for the public’s help in identifying him.
The investigation by detectives revealed that on Sunday, October 2 at approximately 5:23 a.m., the suspect, seen in the surveillance video wearing the red jacket, entered the 7-Eleven and approached an employee who was behind the counter. The suspect then passed a note that demanded money. The suspect threatened to harm the employee and made a gesture that implied he had a weapon in his jacket pocket. The employee complied with the suspect’s demands and gave the suspect an undisclosed amount of currency from the register. The suspect fled from the store with the money and entered a dark colored mid-size SUV with an unknown Maryland temporary tag that was in the parking lot.
