Detectives from the Major Crimes Division are investigating the suspicious death of an adult female in the 12300 block of Parklawn Drive.
This morning at approximately 6:30 a.m., a passerby on his way to the Metro located the deceased female lying in a parking lot near the fence line to the rear of 12349 Parklawn Drive. (This parking lot borders an apartment community and residents commonly travel from the community through the parking lot to reach the Twinbrook Metro).
Major Crimes detectives responded to the location. There was no apparent trauma to the woman’s body. There was no identification on the woman and investigators have been unable to identify her. She is a white adult female and has several tattoos.
The body has been sent to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Baltimore for an autopsy to determine the manner and cause of death and for identification assistance.
Investigators believe that photographs of the woman’s clothing and tattoos will be available to be released to the public and media tomorrow to aid in her identification.
Anyone with information about this death or the possible identification of this woman is asked to call the Major Crimes Division at 240-773-5070.
