Spectacular Kids Night at IHOP; Outreach to Families of Loved Ones with Autism and Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities

WHAT:

The Montgomery County Police Department (MCPD), in partnership with Autism Speaks, Pathfinders for Autism, and the Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service, will hold the second annual Spectacular Kids Night this Thursday, November 10.

Spectacular Kids Night provides families who care for loved ones with Autism and Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD) the opportunity to enjoy a meal while making connections with other families who have loved ones with Autism/IDD.

This event also allows families and public safety members to talk in an informal setting and share information about Autism and IDDs. Officers from the Department to include officers from the Autism/Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD) Outreach Unit will be at the event to answer questions and provide safety information.  Pathfinders for Autism personnel, Montgomery County Fire and Rescue personnel, and MCPD’s Autism Ambassador Jake will also be in attendance.

Please note that registration is not required.  There is no fee to attend this event but meal costs remain an individual's responsibility.
