Police Seek Public’s Help to Identify Suspect in Two Commercial Burglaries; Surveillance Video Released

For Immediate Release: Monday, December 5, 2016

Detectives from the Montgomery County Police Department – 3rd District Investigative Section continue to investigate two commercial burglaries that were committed in Hillandale by the same suspect.  Today, detectives are releasing target="_blank"> surveillance video of the suspect and are asking for the public’s help to identify him.

On Saturday, October 22 at approximately 11:29 a.m., the suspect forced entry into the Action Systems Incorporated office located at 1734 Elton Road.  The suspect stole property and fled from the business.

On Saturday, November 5 at approximately 8:13 a.m., the same suspect forced entry into the Banneker Ventures office located at 1738 Elton Road.  The business alarm activated causing the suspect to flee from the business without obtaining any property.  Less than an hour later, the suspect again forced entry into the Banneker Ventures office.  Detectives have reason to believe that this burglary was interrupted when a Banneker Ventures employee entered the business to deactivate the alarm from the earlier burglary.  The suspect once again fled from the business without obtaining any property.

Anyone who has information about the suspect or these burglaries is asked to contact the 3rd District Investigative Section at 240-773-6870.  For those who wish to remain anonymous, Crime Solvers of Montgomery County is offering a reward of up to $10,000 for any information that leads to the arrest of the suspect.  Tipsters can call Crime Solvers of Montgomery County toll-free at 1-866-411-TIPS (8477).
