Detectives Seek Public’s Help to Identify Attempted Commercial Robbery Suspect; Surveillance Video Released

Detectives from the Montgomery County Police Department – Major Crimes Division continue to investigate the November 29 attempted robbery that occurred at a Silver Spring CVS Pharmacy.  Today, investigators are releasing target="_blank">surveillance video of the suspect and are asking for the public’s help in identifying him.

On Tuesday, November 29 at approximately 3:10 p.m., 3rd District officers responded to the CVS Pharmacy located at 10141 Colesville Road for the report of the attempted robbery of the pharmacy.

The preliminary investigation by detectives revealed that the suspect entered the CVS Pharmacy and approached a CVS employee who was working behind the pharmacy desk.  The suspect demanded the entire stock of Hydrocodone and threatened the employee and others in the pharmacy with bodily harm if he was not immediately given the medication.  The suspect fled out of the rear door of the CVS when the employee notified the pharmacist of the attempted robbery.
