Concern for Missing Wheaton Woman

Update: December 14 at 1:00 p.m. - Geraldine Lonkon Fongong has been located safe and unharmed.  The police and family thank the public and media for sharing this missing person case.

Detectives from the Montgomery County Police Department – 4th District Investigative Section are asking for the public’s help to locate a missing Wheaton woman.

Geraldine Lonkon Fongong, age 34, was last seen by family members at approximately 8:30 a.m. on Monday, December 12, when she left her Glenallan Avenue home for her regular walk around the neighborhood.  Ms. Fongong is familiar with public transportation and is known to frequent the central business district of downtown Silver Spring.

Geraldine Lonkon Fongong is described as an African-American female, 5’ tall and weighing 230 pounds.  She has medium length black hair and brown eyes.  Ms. Fongong was last seen wearing a black jacket, black shoes, and carrying a brown purse.

Police and family members are concerned for Geraldine Fongong’s welfare.
