Detectives Investigate Shooting in Aspen Hill

For Immediate Release: Thursday, December 15, 2016

Detectives from the 4th District Investigative Section are investigating a shooting involving two adult victims that occurred in Aspen Hill overnight.

At approximately 12:02 a.m., the Emergency Call Center received a call from a male who said he and a female companion had been shot while parked in a vehicle in the 3800 block of Palmira Lane in the Aspen Hill area.  First responders located a 22-year old male and a 36-year-old female at that location; both victims were suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.  The injuries are described as non-life threatening.

The victims were transported by Fire and Rescue personnel to a local hospital.  The victims were conscious and able to provide details to investigators.  Preliminary investigation indicates that the two victims were seated inside a vehicle when an unknown race male approached the vehicle, began talking to the victims, and then shot them while they were in the car.  The suspect fled on foot.  He is described as being in his late teens or early 20s and wearing dark clothing.

This remains an active investigation.  Anyone with information regarding this shooting is asked to contact the 4th District Investigative Section at 240.773.5530.  Those who wish to remain anonymous and eligible for a cash reward of up to $10,000 can call Crime Solvers of Montgomery County at 1-866-411-TIPS (8477).
