Concern For Missing Mother and Child

Update: January 13 at 10:00 a.m. - Maduba and Zoe Polan have been located safe and unharmed.  The police and family thank the public and media for sharing this missing person case.

Detectives from the Montgomery County Police Special Victims Investigations Division are asking the public for assistance in locating a missing Silver Spring mother and her infant daughter.

Maduba Polan, 34 years old, of the 2500 block of Spencer Road in Silver Spring, last had contact with family at 4:30 p.m on January 12.  Maduba Polan has her four-month-old daughter, Zoe Polan, with her.  They are believed to be in a silver, 2005 Dodge Caravan with Maryland registration 6CE6816.

Maduba is described as an African-American female who is 5’ 2” tall and weighs approximately 130 pounds.  She has short black hair and brown eyes.  Zoe Polan is a four-month-old female with short, curly, black hair and brown eyes.

Police and family are concerned for the emotional and physical well being of Maduba Polan as well as the welfare of Zoe Polan.

Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Maduba Polan, Zoe Polan, or the silver Dodge Caravan should immediately call 9-1-1.
