Concern for Missing Layhill Juvenile

For Immediate Release: Tuesday, February 7, 2017

Update: February 27, 2017 - Gissell Alejandra Zavala has been located safe and unharmed.  The police and family thank the public and media for sharing this missing person case.

Detectives from the Montgomery County Police Department’s Special Victims Investigations Division are asking the public for help in locating Gissell Alejandra Zavala, age 16, of the 14000 block of Cleese Court in the Layhill area.  Zavala is described as a Hispanic female, 5’ 2” tall, and weighing 155 pounds.  She has black hair, brown eyes, and has a pierced nose.  She has a vine tattoo on her left wrist and a rose tattoo on her leg.

Police and family are concerned for Zavala’s physical and emotional welfare.  Anyone who has information regarding the whereabouts of Gissell Alejandra Zavala is asked to call the Montgomery County Police non-emergency number at 301-279-8000 (24 hours).
