Detectives from the Montgomery County Police Department – Major Crimes Division continue to investigate the February 2 bank robbery that occurred at a M&T Bank in Olney.
On Thursday, February 2 at approximately 10:55 a.m., 4
th District officers responded to the M&T Bank located at 3221 Spartan Road for the report of a bank robbery. The investigation by detectives revealed that the suspect entered the bank and approached a teller. The suspect implied that he had a weapon, threatened the teller, and demanded money. The suspect obtained an undisclosed amount of cash and fled from the bank. The suspect was last seen on foot in the area of Spartan Road and Buehler Road.
Today, detectives are releasing photographs of the suspect and are asking for the public’s help in identifying him.
Anyone with information about the suspect or this bank robbery is asked to contact the Montgomery County Police Department – Major Crimes Division at 240-773-5070. Crime Solvers will pay a cash reward of up to $10,000 for information provided to them that leads to the arrest and/or indictment of this suspect. Tipsters will remain anonymous.
