Detectives Investigate Montgomery Village Homicide

For Immediate Release: Friday, February 10, 2017

Detectives from the Montgomery County Police Department – Major Crimes Division are investigating a homicide that occurred this afternoon in Montgomery Village.

On Friday, February 10 at approximately 2:02 p.m., the Emergency Communications Center (ECC) received multiple 9-1-1 calls for a shooting that had just occurred in the 8500 block of Hawk Run Terrace.  Officers from the 6^th District and Fire and Rescue personnel responded and located a male victim in the parking lot area of the neighborhood suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.  The victim succumbed to his injuries at the scene.

At this time, investigators are interviewing witnesses and cannot confirm the motive or circumstances surrounding this shooting.
