AT&T Wireless Users Report Trouble Reaching 9-1-1 in Some Regions Nationally

UPDATE:  AT&T is reporting that the issue that affected some 9-1-1 calls has been resolved. 

This evening in some regions across the country, some AT&T Wireless customers have experienced trouble reaching 9-1-1 centers.  Preliminary test calls conducted this evening by Montgomery County Police reached our 9-1-1 center without delay. Any AT&T Wireless customer who experiences trouble when calling 9-1-1 should attempt the following steps to contact our 9-1-1 center:

1.) Use a landline phone to call 9-1-1.

2.) Use a cellphone that is serviced through another wireless carrier to call 9-1-1.

3.) Call the Montgomery County non-emergency number for Fire/Rescue or Police service at (301) 279-8000.
