Detectives Investigate Suspicious Death in Silver Spring

For Immediate Release: Tuesday, March 21, 2017

Detectives from the Montgomery County Police Department- Major Crimes Division are investigating the suspicious death of a teenage male at a residence in the 1000 block of Mondrian Terrace in Silver Spring.

This morning at approximately 2:25 a.m., the Emergency Communications Center (911 Center) received a call reporting a suspicious situation at the above address.

Officers responded to the home and located an unresponsive teenage male resident in the basement.  The victim was transported by Fire and Rescue to a local hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.

The male’s body was transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner (OCME) in Baltimore where an autopsy will be conducted to determine the manner and cause of his death.
