Detectives from the Montgomery County Police Department – 2^nd District Investigative Section continue to investigate a February 21 theft and assault of a contractor at a Verizon store in Bethesda. Today, investigators are releasing target="_blank">surveillance video of the suspect and are asking for the public’s help in identifying him.

On February 21 at approximately 12:14 p.m., 2^nd District officers responded to the Verizon store located at 6932 Wisconsin Avenue for the report of a theft and an assault that had just occurred.

The investigation by officers revealed that the suspect entered the Verizon store and immediately went to a display rack of headphones. The suspect stole three boxes of headphones and ran toward the store’s front door. A contractor, who was performing maintenance on the front door, was assaulted by the suspect as he fled from the store.

Anyone who recognizes the suspect or has information about this crime is asked to call the 2^nd District Investigative Section at 240-773-6710.
