Detectives Investigate Theft at Verizon Store; Surveillance Video Released

Detectives from the Montgomery County Police Department – 2nd District Investigative Section continue to investigate a February 21 theft and assault of a contractor at a Verizon store in Bethesda. Today, investigators are releasing target="_blank">surveillance video of the suspect and are asking for the public’s help in identifying him.
On February 21 at approximately 12:14 p.m., 2nd District officers responded to the Verizon store located at 6932 Wisconsin Avenue for the report of a theft and an assault that had just occurred.
The investigation by officers revealed that the suspect entered the Verizon store and immediately went to a display rack of headphones. The suspect stole three boxes of headphones and ran toward the store’s front door. A contractor, who was performing maintenance on the front door, was assaulted by the suspect as he fled from the store.
