Concern for Missing Fairland Area Teenager

Update: May 2 - Maurice Edward Kirkland Jr. has been located safe and unharmed.  The police and family thank the public and media for sharing this missing person case.

Detectives from the Montgomery County Police Department –  Special Victims Investigations Division are asking for the public’s help in locating a missing teenager from the Fairland area.

Maurice Edward Kirkland Jr., age 15, was last seen by family members when he left his Fairland Road home on foot at approximately 11:00 a.m. on Sunday, April 23.  Maurice is described as an African American male, 5’10” tall, and weighing 175 pounds.  He has short black hair and brown eyes.  Maurice was last seen wearing a black “Marvel” t-shirt with red letters, dark blue jeans, and red Nike shoes.  Maurice is known to frequent the area of the Orchard Center shopping mall located at 12000 Cherry Hill Road in the Calverton area.

Police and family are concerned for Maurice’s welfare.
