UPDATE: Kyoko Ikari has been located. She is safe and unharmed. Police and family thank the media and the public for their assistance in publicizing this case. Detectives with the 6th District Investigative Section are asking for the public’s assistance in locating a missing Gaithersburg woman.
Kyoko Ikari, 88 years old, was last seen this afternoon (Thursday) at approximately 3:00 p.m., when she drove and dropped off family members for an appointment in the 800 block of Quince Orchard Boulevard. Ikari is described as being 5' tall and weighing approximately 100 pounds. She has white or grey hair, brown eyes, and normally wears glasses. A clothing description cannot be confirmed at this time. Ikari may be exhibiting early signs of dementia.
Ikari is believed to be driving a tan Honda Accord with Maryland tags MWN 025. A Silver Alert has been activated for Ikari and the tan Honda.
Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Kyoko Ikari is asked to immediately call 9-1-1.
