Concern for Missing Gaithersburg Man

Update: May 3 at 8:30 p.m. - John Anthony Ferrante has been located safe and unharmed.  The police and family thank the public and media for sharing this missing person case.

Detectives from the Montgomery County Police Department – 6th District Investigative Section are asking for the public’s help to locate a missing Gaithersburg man.

John Anthony Ferrante, age 38, of Dubois Court, was last seen by family members at approximately 2:45 p.m. this afternoon (May 3) when he was on foot in the 10000 block of Stedwick Road in Montgomery Village.  Family members reported that approximately one hour earlier, Mr. Ferrante was a passenger in a vehicle that was being driven by a family member and that he abruptly exited the vehicle when the car stopped for a red signal at the intersection of Midcounty Highway and Pier Point Place in Montgomery Village.

John Anthony Ferrante is described as a white male, 5’10” tall, and weighing approximately 110 pounds.  He has brown hair, brown eyes, and a beard.  Ferrante was last seen wearing a black jacket over a red shirt, black pants, and wearing a black backpack.

Police and family members are concerned for Mr. Ferrante’s emotional and physical welfare.
