Concern for Missing 92-Year-Old Woman with Dementia

Update: May 19 - Choon Lim Choi has been located safe and unharmed.  The police and family thank the public and media for sharing this missing person case.

Detectives from the Montgomery County Police Department – 3rd District Investigative Section are asking for the public’s help to locate a missing Calverton area woman with dementia.

Choon Lim Choi, age 92, was last seen by family members at approximately 5:00 p.m. this evening at her Red Lion Lane home.  Family members reported to police that they went to check on Ms. Choi at 7:00 p.m. Thursday evening and discovered that she had left her home on foot.  Detectives believe that Ms. Choi may have recently been in the area of the Westech Village Corner shopping center located near Columbia Pike and Treetop Lane.

Choi is described as an Asian female, 5’2” tall, and weighing approximately 140 pounds.  She has short grey and black hair, and black eyes.  She was last seen wearing a brown shirt and gray and white pajama pants.  Choi suffers from dementia and speaks only Korean.

Police and family are concerned for Ms. Choi’s physical welfare.
