Concern for Missing 82-Year-Old Man with Dementia

Update: May 24 at 9:00 p.m. - Angelo D'Alessandro has been located safe and unharmed.  The police and family thank the public and media for sharing this missing person case.

Detectives from the Montgomery County Police Department – 2nd District Investigative Section are asking for the public’s help to locate a missing Bethesda area man with dementia.

Angelo D’Alessandro, age 82, was last seen by family members at approximately 5:30 p.m. this evening when he left his Millwood Road home on foot.  The family reported to police that Mr. D’Alessandro does not have a vehicle and does not use public transportation.

Mr. D'Alessandro is described as a white male, 5’ 6” tall, and weighing approximately 170 pounds.  He is bald with gray hair on the sides and wears glasses.  He was last seen wearing a blue sweatshirt with red stripes on the side and blue sweatpants.  D’Alessandro suffers from dementia and speaks only Italian.

Police and family are concerned for Mr. D’Alessandro’s physical welfare.

Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Angelo D’Alessandro is asked to call 9-1-1 or the Montgomery County Police non-emergency number at 301-279-8000.
