Active Search for Missing Seven-Year-Old Boy

UPDATE: May 30, 2017 - 9:33 p.m. - Akhir King has been located in Gaithersburg safe and unharmed.

Detectives from the Montgomery County Police-Special Victims Investigations Division (SVID) are asking the public for help in locating a seven-year-old boy missing from Montgomery Village.

Akhir King, with a nickname of “Nunu," of the 9800 block of Dockside Terrace in Montgomery Village, was last seen at his residence tonight at approximately 7:20 p.m.

King is described as a black male, 3' 9” tall, 55 pounds, with brown eyes and short brown hair.  King was last seen wearing a gray and black North Face jacket, blue pants, and a black backpack with the words "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" written on the back of it.  King was also wearing black and purple Jordan sneakers with one sneaker having a white shoelace and the other sneaker having a black shoelace.

Anyone who has information regarding the whereabouts of Akhir King ("Nunu") is asked to call the the police non-emergency number at 301-279-8000 (24 hour-line).
