Concern for Missing Silver Spring Woman

Update: June 14, 2017 - Kathy Marie Jones has been located safe and unharmed.

Detectives from the Montgomery County Police Department – 3^rd District Investigative Section are asking for the public’s assistance in locating a missing Silver Spring woman.

Kathy Marie Jones, age 56, was last seen by family members at approximately 11:00 a.m. this morning when she left her Thayer Avenue home on foot.  Ms. Jones is known to frequent the central business district of downtown Silver Spring.

Kathy Marie Jones is described as an African American female, who is 5' 6? tall and weighs approximately 90 pounds.  She has brown eyes and blonde hair.  She was last seen wearing a gray shirt with blue stripes, gray shorts, and pink sandals.

Ms. Jones does not have her medication with her and police and family are concerned for her welfare.
