Concern For Wheaton Man

For Immediate Release: Friday, June 30, 2017

UPDATE:  Mua Van Tran has been located in northern Virginia.  He will be reunited with family.  MCP and family thank residents and media for their assistance in this case.         

Detectives from the 4th District Investigative Section are asking for the public's assistance in locating a missing Wheaton man.

Mua Van Tran, 77 years old, left his Cone Lane residence in Wheaton at approximately 4:00 a.m. on today's date.  He is described as an Asian male who is 5' 10" tall and weighs 130 pounds.  He has black hair.  Family members could not confirm a clothing description for Tran at the time he left the home.  Tran speaks Vietnamese and does not speak English.

Tran is believed to be operating a grey 2008 Toyota Camry with Maryland tags 6AX8766.

Police and family are concerned for Mua Van Tran's welfare.  Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Tran or the grey Toyota Camry is urged to dial 9-1-1.
