White Oak Shooting Investigated

Detectives with the 3rd District Investigative Section are investigating a shooting that involves two victims and occurred early this morning in White Oak.

On Tuesday, July 11 at approximately 1:10 a.m., 3rd District officers and Fire and Rescue personnel responded to the parking lot located at 11560 Lockwood Drive for the report of the sounds of gunshots.  Additional calls were received by the Emergency Call Center as officers were responding.

Upon arrival, first responders located two victims suffering from gunshot wounds; a 31-year-old male was suffering from a gunshot wound to his left shoulder and a 28-year-old female was suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.  Officers began life-saving efforts and administered aid that included the use of a tourniquet.  Both victims were transported to the hospital where they were stabilized.  Their injuries are now described as non-life threatening.

This remains an open investigation.  Detectives continue to interview witnesses and canvass the neighborhood to gather information and obtain additional details.
