Detectives Investigate Montgomery Village CVS Pharmacy Armed Robbery; Surveillance Video Released

Detectives from the Montgomery County Police Department – Major Crimes Division continue to investigate the July 12 armed robbery of a CVS Pharmacy in Montgomery Village.  Today, investigators are releasing  target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">surveillance video of the suspect and are asking for the public’s help in identifying him.

On Wednesday, July 12 at approximately 8:42 p.m., 6th District officers responded to the CVS Pharmacy located at 9140 Rothbury Drive for the report of an armed robbery that had just occurred.

The investigation by detectives revealed that the suspect, who was wearing dark clothing, gloves, and concealing his face, entered the CVS and walked behind the counter where he confronted a clerk.  The suspect demanded the clerk to open the cash register and threatened the clerk by saying “or I’m going to pull this gun out and use it”.  The clerk complied with the suspect’s demands.  The suspect stole currency from the register and then fled from the store.
