Concern For Missing Silver Spring Man

Update: Samly Keosiphanseang has been located safe and unharmed.

Detectives from the 3rd District Investigative Section are asking the public for assistance in locating a missing Silver Spring man.

Samly Keosiphanseang is 34 years old, functions at a level of an 8-year-old, and is considered non-verbal.  Yesterday, July 31 at approximately 1:30 p.m., he was visiting the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum located at 600 Independence Avenue SW, Washington, D.C.  During the visit, Keosiphanseang became separated from his chaperone.  Family has not been able to contact him since that time.

Samly Keosiphanseang is described as an Asian male who is 5' 6" tall and weighs 160 pounds. He has brown hair and brown eyes.  At the time of his disappearance he was wearing a white shirt with orange stripes, white shorts, and red Nike shoes.

Third District investigators are coordinating with law enforcement in the District of Columbia.  Police and family are concerned for Samly Keosiphanseang's welfare and are urging anyone with information regarding his whereabouts to call 9-1-1.
