Concern for Missing 82-Year-Old Man with Dementia

Update: August 4, 2017 - Fred Jackson Hubbard has been located safe and unharmed and reunited with family.  The police and family thank the public and media for sharing this missing person case.

Detectives from the Montgomery County Police Department – 3rd District Investigative Section are asking for the public’s help to locate a missing Silver Spring man with dementia.

Fred Jackson Hubbard, age 82, from Washington, D.C., but who is staying with family members at the Homewood Suites by Hilton located at 8728 Colesville Road, was last seen by family members at approximately 12:30 p.m. this afternoon when he left the Homewood Suites lobby on foot. Family reported him as missing when he did not return.  Mr. Hubbard does not drive and is not familiar with public transportation.

Mr. Hubbard is described as an African American male, 5’ 6” tall, and weighing 100 pounds. He has gray hair, brown eyes, and a gray beard. He was last seen wearing a red, plaid shirt; black cargo shorts, white socks, and tan slippers.

Due to Mr. Hubbard's dementia, police and family are concerned for his welfare.
