Detectives Investigate North Bethesda Bank Robbery; Surveillance Video Released

Detectives from the Montgomery County Police Department – Major Crimes Division continue to investigate the July 28 bank robbery that occurred at a Wells Fargo Bank in North Bethesda.  Today, detectives are releasing target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">surveillance video of the suspect and are asking for the public’s help in identifying him.

On Friday, July 28 at approximately 5:10 p.m., 2nd District officers responded to the Wells Fargo Bank located at 10305 Westlake Drive for the report of a bank robbery.  The investigation by detectives revealed that the suspect entered the bank and approached a teller.  The suspect displayed a note to the teller that implied that he had a weapon and that demanded money.  The suspect obtained an undisclosed amount of cash and fled from the bank.  The suspect was last seen on foot southbound on Westlake Drive toward Democracy Boulevard.

Anyone with information about the suspect or this bank robbery is asked to contact the Montgomery County Police Department – Major Crimes Division at 240-773-5100.  To be eligible for a reward, tipsters may call Crime Solvers of Montgomery County toll-free at 1-866-411-TIPS (8477).  Crime Solvers will pay a cash reward of up to $10,000 for information provided to them that leads to the arrest and/or indictment of this suspect.  Tipsters will remain anonymous.
