Police Investigating Undetermined Death in a Bethesda Park

For Immediate Release: Friday, August 11, 2017

Last night at approximately 7:19 p.m., a resident of Heatherhill Court in Bethesda called 911 to report that he had located a deceased person in the Booze Creek Stream Valley Park (which is to the rear of the homeowner's property).  Officers responded and located a deceased male in a creek.  Major Crimes Detectives responded to the scene and began a death investigation.  The body was transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Baltimore for an autopsy.

Today, the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner positively identified the person as 40-year-old Daniel Taylor Evans of Sykesville.  Daniel Evans had been reported to the Carroll County Sheriff's Office as a missing person.  The cause and manner of Mr. Evan's death is undetermined pending the autopsy findings.
