Concern For Missing Gaithersburg Woman

Update:  Guanchu Cai has been located in Gaithersburg.  Police and family thank the media and residents for their assistance in publicizing this case.

Detectives from the 6th District Investigative Section are asking for the public's assistance in locating a missing Gaithersburg woman.

Guanchu Cai, an 80-year-old female, left her King James Way apartment on Sunday, August 13 at approximately 6:30 p.m.  Cai is described as an Asian female, 5' 2" tall, and weighing 150 pounds.  At the time of her disappearance, she was wearing a pink button-up shirt over a blue t-shirt and black pants.

Cai, who uses a walker, frequently walks in her neighborhood but reportedly can become confused about her surroundings and loses her way home.

Police and family are concerned for her welfare.  Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Guanchu Cai is urged to dial 911.
