Concern for Missing Wheaton Woman with Dementia

Update: 8/18/17: Adel Martin has been located safe and unharmed.

Detectives from the Montgomery County Police Department – 4th District Investigative Section are asking for the public’s help to locate a woman who is missing from the Wheaton area and has dementia.

Adel Martin, age 72, resides in Washington, D.C., but was visiting a family member at a residence in the 1100 block of University Boulevard West in Wheaton last evening.  She was last seen at approximately 1:00 a.m. this morning at the family member's residence.  She is described as a black female, 5’5” tall and weighing 150 pounds.  Ms. Martin wears glasses.  She was last seen wearing a teal (blue-green) t-shirt, green pants, and black New Balance sneakers.  Martin does not have access to a vehicle and is unfamiliar with the Wheaton area.
