Detectives Investigate Colesville Pharmacy Armed Robbery; Surveillance Video Released

Detectives from the Montgomery County Police Department – Major Crimes Division continue to investigate the August 15 armed robbery of a The Medicine Shoppe Pharmacy in Colesville.  Today, investigators are releasing target="_blank" rel="noopener">surveillance video of the two suspects and are asking for the public’s help in identifying them.

On Tuesday, August 15 at approximately 1:03 p.m., 3rd District officers responded to The Medicine Shoppe Pharmacy located at 12838 New Hampshire Avenue for the report of an armed robbery that had just occurred.

The investigation by detectives revealed that the suspects, who were wearing dark clothing, gloves, concealing their faces, and one of whom was armed with a handgun, entered the pharmacy.  The suspects vaulted the counter, confronted a clerk, and demanded prescription medication.  The clerk complied with the suspects’ demands.  The suspect’s stole several types of prescription medication from the pharmacy and then fled from the store.  They were last seen on foot southbound on New Hampshire Avenue.
