Detectives Investigate Bicycle Theft; Surveillance Video Released

Detectives from the Montgomery County Police Department – 1st District Investigative Section continue to investigate the August 14 theft of a bicycle from an open garage that occurred at a residence in North Potomac.  Today, detectives are releasing surveillance video of the suspect and are asking for the public’s help in identifying him.

On Sunday, August 20, 1st District officers responded to a residence in the 11400 block of Grey Colt Lane for the report of the theft of a bicycle.  The homeowner stated to officers that he recently noticed that his bicycle was missing from his garage.  The homeowner further stated that he reviewed home surveillance video and observed that on Monday, August 14 at approximately 3:30 p.m., the suspect entered his open garage and stole the bicycle.

Anyone with information regarding the suspect or this theft is asked to call the 1st District Investigative Section at 240-773-6084.  Those who wish to remain anonymous may call Crime Solvers of Montgomery County toll-free at 1-866-411-TIPS (8477).  Crime Solvers will pay a cash reward of up to $10,000 for information provided to them that leads to an arrest in this case.
