Concern For Missing Silver Spring Woman

Update: September 5, 2017 - Saba Lemeja Debeya has been located safe and unharmed.

Detectives from the 3rd District Investigative Section are asking the public for assistance in locating a 41-year-old Silver Spring Woman.

Saba Lemeja Debeya left her Sligo Avenue home at approximately 6:30 a.m. yesterday, Thursday, August 31.  Family has been unable to contact her during that time.

Debeya is described as a light-skinned African American female, 5' 4" tall, and weighing 165 pounds.  She black eyes and long black hair.  It is not known what clothing Debeya was wearing when she left her home.  She speaks Amharic and very little English.  Debeya is familiar with public transportation and frequents the downtown Silver Spring area.

Debeya is not taking her medication and police and family are concerned for her physical and emotional welfare.  Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Saba Lemeja Debeya is urged to contact the Montgomery County Police non-emergency number, 301.279.8000.
