Detectives Investigate Burglary to Home Under Construction; Surveillance Photos Released

Detectives from the Montgomery County Police Department – 4th District Investigative Section continue to investigate a June 29 burglary that occurred at an unoccupied home under construction in the Layhill area. Today, detectives are releasing surveillance photographs of one of the suspects and are asking for the public’s help in identifying him.

The investigation by detectives has determined that at approximately 12:30 p.m. on June 29, a white, Chevrolet van backed into the driveway of a residence under construction in the 13600 block of Soaring Wing Lane.  Witnesses observed two Hispanic male suspects exit the van, enter the home, and steal bathroom and kitchen fixtures from the house.  The suspects put the stolen fixtures in the van and fled from the area.

Witnesses further described the two Hispanic male suspects as mid-30’s and one suspect having short, dark hair.

Anyone who recognizes the suspect in the photograph or has information about this burglary is asked to contact the 4th District Investigative Section at 240-773-5530.  Tipsters can also call Crime Solvers of Montgomery County toll-free at 1-866-411-TIPS (8477). Crime Solvers will pay a cash reward of up to $10,000 for information provided to them that leads to an arrest and/or indictment for this crime.
