North Bethesda Area House Fire Death Investigation

Detectives from the Montgomery County Police Department – Major Crimes Division are conducting a death investigation following a fatal house fire that occurred yesterday afternoon in the North Bethesda area.

On Sunday, September 10 at approximately 4:23 p.m., 2nd District officers and Fire and Rescue personnel responded to a house fire in the 5200 block of Danbury Road.

Once Fire and Rescue personnel rendered the home safe, firefighters entered the residence and located an adult male victim deceased in the home.  An additional adult male victim was located outside of the home and was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The victim’s body has been transported to Baltimore where the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner (OCME) will conduct an autopsy to determine the victim’s identity and the manner and cause of the victim’s death.
