Concern for Missing Bethesda Area Man – Silver Alert Activated

Update: October 5, 2017 - William George Battaile has been located safe and unharmed.

Detectives from the 2nd District Investigative Section are asking for the public’s assistance in locating a missing 92-year-old Bethesda area man.  A Silver Alert has been activated by the Maryland State Police.

William George Battaile was last seen by family members at approximately 6:45 p.m. this evening (October 3) when he left his Bulls Run Parkway home driving his gray 2013 Nissan Cube with Maryland tags: 146M396. Family members report that Battaile suffers from memory loss and may not be able to find his way home.

William George Battaile is described as a white male, 6' 2? tall, and weighing 140 pounds. He has green eyes and is bald with gray hair on the sides. He was last seen wearing a blue plaid short sleeve shirt, khaki pants, and white tennis shoes.

A Silver Alert has been activated for William George Battaile and his Nissan Cube. Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of William George Battaile or his Nissan Cube is urged to call 9-1-1.
